Church of Agia Marina

The church dedicated to Agia Marina is located in the heart of the village and is the main church of the village. According to tradition, the church was built two hundred years ago, on the foundations of an older church, also dedicated to Agia Marina. Almost fifty years ago, namely in the middle of the 20th century, the church was renovated.

The church follows the Byzantine style and shares common characteristics with the Monastery of Panagia (Virgin Mary) of Sinti. It is a church built with local traditional stone and has a domical roof that resembles the roof of the Sinti Monastery. The church is twenty meters long and seven meters wide.

The internal part of the church is decorated with a wooden carved iconostasis. It is worth mentioning that there are one hundred and fifty icons kept within the church, donations form other monasteries.
